Wave Speed Formula

v = λ × f

Wave speed (v) equals wavelength (λ) multiplied by frequency (f). This applies to all periodic waves.

Does wave speed depend on frequency?

For most waves in a uniform medium, speed is constant regardless of frequency. Exceptions include dispersive media where speed depends on wavelength.
