How to Calculate Compound Interest

A = P × (1 + r/n)n×t

Where: A = Final amount, P = Principal, r = Annual rate (decimal), n = Compounds per year, t = Time in years.

Total Interest = A − P

Example:
P = $10,000, Rate = 6%, Time = 10 years, Compounded Monthly (n=12)
A = $10,000 × (1 + 0.06/12)12×10
A = $10,000 × (1.005)120 = $18,193.97
Interest = $18,193.97 − $10,000 = $8,193.97
