What is the difference between total and lateral surface area?

Total surface area includes both circular bases plus the curved side. Lateral surface area only measures the curved side (imagine unrolling it into a rectangle of width 2πr and height h).

How do I find the volume of a cylinder in liters?

If your measurements are in centimeters, the volume will be in cm³. Divide by 1000 to convert cm³ to liters (1 liter = 1000 cm³).

Does this formula work for oblique cylinders?

The volume formula V = πr²h works for oblique cylinders too (h is the perpendicular height). However, the surface area formulas above are for right circular cylinders only.
