How to Simplify a Ratio

  1. Find the GCF (Greatest Common Factor) of all numbers.
  2. Divide each number by the GCF.
12 : 18 → GCF = 6 → 2 : 3
Example: Simplify 24 : 36 : 48
GCF(24, 36, 48) = 12
Result: 2 : 3 : 4
